Community Road Watch – Volunteers Wanted!

Community Road Watch – Volunteers Wanted!

We wanted to share a quick update about dangerous driving in your area. Please be assured we’re working to keep everyone safe.

Hello Ward residents,

We are pleased to announce that Community Road Watch is restarting in your local area, in partnership with Transport for London (TfL).

Community Road Watch gives local residents the opportunity to work alongside their Safer Neighbourhoods Team to help tackle speeding and improve road safety within their community.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to get involved and make a positive difference to road safety in their neighbourhood.
Volunteers will work alongside local officers at designated locations, using speed detection equipment to identify vehicles
exceeding the speed limit.

Registered keepers of vehicles identified may subsequently receive an advisory letter.
Whether you are concerned about speeding on your street or simply want to help make local roads safer, we would welcome your involvement.

Interested in volunteering?

Please reply to this message or contact your local Safer Neighbourhoods Team to register your interest.
Together, we can help make our roads safer for everyone.

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.

Activities such as street racing, cruising or performing tricks can count as anti-social behaviour. If you are concerned about this in your area, visit our website for the latest guidance.

You can report dangerous driving online here.

We want your help to shape the future of policing across London. We are seeking your views on our new inclusion strategy to ensure that the Met is a police service that is trusted, representative and more effective at keeping London safe. You can have your say on our Inclusion Strategy consultation which runs until Thursday 26 November.
